Description
The dragon was the battle banner of the Dacians, the Costoboci and the Tyragetes on the present territory of Moldova as well as the Moesi Daco-Thracians south of the Danube. It was shaped like a head a wolf with an open mouth, which continued with a dragon body, made of textile material or leather that swelled in the wind, making a noise that imitated the howling of wolves, terrifying the enemy, and formed a horizontal serpentine banner.
